The description of asc format expansion
The asc file is a plain text file stored in the ASCII format. ASCII is abbreviated from “American Standard Code for Information Interchange”. The character encoding based on ASCII codes provides a standard way for representing characters by applying numeric codes. These characters include punctuation symbols, numbers and lower and upper-case English letters.
For representing each character ASCII uses 7 bits. For instance, a lowercase “t” is replaced by the number 116 and a capital “T” is replaced by the number 84. All the rest of the keyboard keys are represented by appropriate ASCII values. ASCII codes can also be presented as hexadecimal values instead of the decimal values, mentioned before.
